Nothing for the most part.  Kaufman County ARES, Inc. and the Kaufman County SkyWarn Association™ do not have any type of membership fees or dues.  There might be a small expense for ID cards or background checks, but contact us for more information.

There are personal expenses tat you might incure, such as purchasing new/used amateur radio equipment, other radio equipment, fuel for your vehicle when you go mobile, official SkyWarn shirts, stickers, etc.

If you are a registered member of Kaufman County ARES, Inc. or the items that you purchase are used just for SkyWarn related activities, yoiu can write off most of these expenses on your taxes each year.
