Online Checks Print E-mail
Saturday, 05 May 2007

Some people have asked us to be able to accept donations via checks online, and we are very happy to provide this service to our supporters. Using various technologies, we are able to accept and process your personal or business check information and use it to receive a donation from you.

We have a secure check donation page that you can use to send us information from your checking account or savings account to allow us to process your donation. You will receive an email that confirms the receipt of your information and is to act as a notice of authorization. Once we submit the bank draft to our bank, we will email you a copy of the draft to the email address provided upon submission.

By using this option you are making an online donation using your checking or savings account and using the same method as paying by check over the phone or online to other business that you may deal with on a day to day basis. Using this method predates computers to the 1920's when insurance companies started drafting payments from bank account.

* All information collected from the online check donation form is used to create a Check21 compliant bank draft that allows us to collect the donated funds from your bank account. A bank draft is a signatureless check, similar to paying a bill by check-over-phone. The information collected is used to generate one draft for the donation amount that you have provided. We are also working with one of our support companies in using ACH/EFT, Automated Clearing House/Electronic Fund Transfer options, which will allow us to process echecks even faster.
