Saturday, 01 November 2008 |
This is just a reminder that Daylight Saving Time is coming to an end for 2008. This Sunday, November 2nd 2008, marks the end of Daylight Saving Time for most regions in the United States for the year. This is where you hear people tell your it's time to fall back an hour. While most people will set their clicks back by one hour before they go to bed, the official end for Daylight Saving Time is at 2:00 AM, Sunday morning.
Some people are not aware that in 2007, the start and stop of Daylight Saving Time was changed to the following:
- Starts on the second Sunday in March
- Ends on the first Sunday in November
Change Battery Today
This is the new periods in which Daylight Saving Time runs. Be sure to come back and learn more about Daylight Saving Time on our website in the very near future. We will provide a little bit of history, the correct name and more, but while we have you here on this page, we would like to remind you of one very important order of business that everyone should take care of when they change their clocks at the beginning or end of Daylight Saving Time. That is you should also replace the batteries in all of the smoke detectors in your home. Also, if your smoke detector is 10 years old or older, you need to replace the unit. All smoke detectors are designed to last only 10 years. Be safe, change out your battery or detector today.
