We are happy to announce that we now have a new permanent location to hold our meetings and training classes.  If the need arises, we can utilize the Kaufman County Libraary as before, but we have been granted access to Legacy Academy which is located in the city of Kaufman. 

Legacy Academy

A member of the Board of Directors for Kaufman County CERT, Inc., Tina Sanders, has assisted in obtaining permission to utilize this facility again. It is our pleasure to accept use of this school and to work with them in promoting our activities to the public.

Be sure to check the training calendar to be sure were we will be hold the classes each month. Most likely we will be holding them at Legacy Academy, but you need to check to be sure.

The school is located at 601 S. Washington, which is one block south of Temple Rd./1836.  In other words its one block south after you go through the stop light located by the police/fire station and is located on the south-east corner.  To view a map, use this link: Legacy Academy

If we request that all members meet at a central location during an emergency, we will meet at Legacy.  This has a good size parking lot and gives us access to all major roads and areas of the county.

We do still have access to the Kaufman County Library, but at this time we do not see a need to utilize this location.  To see maps to all training locations, please visit our maps page.
