The cost for the class is Free, but the testing fee is $15*.  If you wish to purchase a License Manual, shown to the left, you can.  You pay only $19, which is what the book cost us to order and no shipping fees.  This is a savings of over $14 if you were to buy it yourself.  We currently have a limited number of books, but will be order some more, if you wish to get one.  During these classes, you will learn the nuts and bolts of being an amateur radio operator, the FCC regulations that must be followed and how you can help with new experiments and more.

We are also working to establish some all day Saturday classes in the very near future for those that wish to take their test sooner.  At this time, most testings are held on the last Saturday of the month, but we are making arrangements to have testing held when ever we need them done.  This will not affect our class and will not affect your ability to get your license.

Learn how amateur radio operators have been helping people for over 100 years.  Learn how amateur radio has played a very important role is recent disasters, including Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Ike and more.  Learn some about storm spotting and chasing and tons more.  Here is the opportunity to get in on a hobby that has a long history of public service and that is highly sought out by agencies the world over during times of crisis.IC706_3.jpg
