| 2008 ARES-CERT Scholarship |
 Its now the end of the 2007-2008 school year, and once again, in partneship with Kaufman County CERT, Inc., we have presented Legacy Academy with our Kaufman County ARES/CERT Scholarship.This year we presented Legacy Academy with a check in the amount of $200 ($100 each) that will be used to help further the education of some of their students. Though you may think that $200 is not a lot for a scholarship, Legacy Academy tries to match all scholarship dollar for dollar. As an Amateur Radio club and organization, one of our goals is to help educate the public. Though this generally means in the proper use of Amateur Radio, we also feel a special need to help students be able to continue their education after high-school. Working with Legacy in helping their students and utilizing their facilities has made a great partnership between our organization and theirs. We hope to continue to have this relationship for a long time and also wish to continue this scholarship program on an on-going basis. You help us make our scholarship program a huge success. Just use the button below to make a donation that will be placed into our scholarship savings account. You donation is 100% tax deductible and goes to help a student have a bright future. 
Why the Scholarship Fund? In this day and age, it can be hard for high school students to continue on to college without a little help. While there are thousands of Scholarships and grants available to students across the nation, there is also hundreds of thousands of students try to secure that funding. We created our Scholarship fund on a local basis and in the future may expand this to other students outside of Legacy Academy. This will be dependent on how much we receive in donations for the Scholarship. When you donate to the Scholarship, you will have the option to donate any amount that you wish. For $5.00 more, you can have your donation placed in "The Memory Of", which will be included on our website and in the Scholarship documents.
