Ray Potcinske is now the AEC for Terrell/Able Springs and equipment development.  He has been a member of Kaufman County ARES, Inc. since its beginnings and continues to play an important role in our operation.  With his support and knowledge, we will strive to continue to develop and expand our communication options throughout Kaufman County.

Ray will also be helping to establish a monthly meeting to be held in the Terrell area for members that live in that region of the County, in an effort to ensure that our members are able to continue with their training and have the ability to have the voices heard, without always having to attend a meeting in Kaufman.

Jody Vinick is now the AEC for Mabank/Seven Points and Kemp.  He will be serving as our liason in those areas, until we have new members living in Seven Points and Kemp that are willing to accept the challenge of AEC.  His position may be expanded to also cover equipment development.  Currently, Jody is working to procure potions of our repeater system.

Jody has been a member of Kaufman County ARES since December 2007 and is newly licensed as an amateur radio operator.  Though he maybe new to radio operations, he has a history of working in the commercial radio business and is bringing his expertise to help us with future growth of our organization.  We look forward to the efforts that he will put into the function of AEC.

We wish to congradulate each of these members and look forward to the work that they will provide the organization.  As we expand our membership, we will be looking to add new AEC's throughtout the county, including such places as Crandall, Forney, Combine, Grays Prairie, Elmo, Talty and other.

If you are interested in help to ensure the expantion of the program in your part of the County, please feel free to contact us.  If you are an amateur radio operator that may be interested in becoming an AEC, please send us your application.  The only requirements for becoming an AEC is that you have a valid amateur radio license and that you are a registered member of Kaufman County ARES, Inc.  You do not have to be a member of the ARRL.  For more information about AEC's, be sure to read our Assistant Emergency Coordinators page.
