To help insure that Kaufman County ARES, Inc. can meet the needs of various organizations and agencies that we might work with during an emergency, we are providing various training opportunities for our volunteers. Below is the minimum training classes that you must have to be considered NIMS qualified. These training programs are avalible for free and you can either take them online or we can provide you a printed form to mail in. If you wish to obtain your NIMS rating and be able to help even more during an emergency, just click the links below.
There are many other training classes offered through the FEMA Independent Study Program and like the ones above they are free to take. When they add more course that we feel you should consider taking, we will include them below.
When you receive your certificate, please be sure to provide a copy to be included in your volunteer file , so that we have the needed proof that you have completed the course. If you take it online, you download your certificate upon completion of the course and you can send a copy of this file to us.
