What's Involved In Being A Member? Print E-mail
Tuesday, 24 April 2007

That is a hard qustion to answer, Being a member of ARES® or any other volunteer organizaiton can be fun, rewarding, helpful, tiring, unknow and just about anything else you can think of.  Though we will not be asking you to give us all your time, we do ask for some of it.  Just like being a volunteer fire fighter, we have regular training classes and membership meetings.

In the very near future, we will start hold on-air nets between once and twice a month to help hone our communicaiton skills, plus we will be taking part in various ham-fests and emergency training sessions through out the county.

We do ask that all members try to make as many meetings, classes and exercies that they can, but we know that everyone does have their own life.  As a volunteer, you have chosen to give of your time to help others in need.  Their is no better reward than helpijng your fellow citizens in times of need.

The Board of Director shall try to make an effort to set classes and meetings up when more memebrs are likely to be able to make it.  If you can think of a better time to hold meetings, please feel free to submit your informaiton and we can look into it.

Since we do ask you for your time and help, we ask that only people that are seriously intrested in helping to become members.  If you just want your name on an ARES list and don't want to take part in any of the activities, please do not waste our time or yours.
