How Much Are Membership Fees Or Dues? Print E-mail
Wednesday, 25 April 2007

$0.00.  Currently, there is no membership fees or dues, but this could change in the future.  Though the Board of Directors does not currently foresee a need to have membership fees, this might be added int he future if the need arises for the purpose of purchasing insurance or other issues.

If, in the future, a membership fee is created, it will be of a minimal amount to our members.

As this is a volunteer organization, we are hoping that we will be able to avoid any fees and be able to raise the funds needed through various means.

There are some cost in being a volunteer in any AES program, but these are things that would be a cost in any other program as well.  While we try to help keep cost to a minumim, we have outlined a few things below that you may have to pay for:

  • Amateur Radio Equipment
  • ID Cards (New and replacements)
  • Official Kaufman County ARES Shirts
  • Vehicle Stickers
  • ARRL Membership, is desired
  • Other items

Kaufman County ARES, Inc. is currently seeking grants and donations that can be used to offset these cost and allow each member a better chance at getting what they need.  We have included a price sheet that gives the average price for items listed above and and other items of interest.  These are not requirements of being a member, just items that can help you in your duties.
