Yes. We have create the final version of the cards that will be issed out to our members. Unlike the cards provided by the ARRL, which are just paper, these are fullcolor printed pvc cards that will contain your photo and other information on the front of them. Do to unforeseen issues, we are not able to provide free ID cards until further in the future. At this time the cost of all cards are $7.00 (subject to change without notice) and they are valid for a period of @ 2 years. We, along with Southern Search & Rescue, Inc., are working on obtaining an ID Card System from Fargo that will allow us to print nearly indestructible ID cards, similar to those issued by the DHS and other organizaitons. Once such as system is obtained, the only cost to our members will be the actual cost of the cards. When we get this new printer system, all current and new members will be issued a new card and the old ones will be turned in to be destroyed. It will be your responsibility to protect these cards, as they are your official ID for ARES and you will be requested to show it while in the performance of your duties. If you should lose or damage your card, you will need to obtain a replacement. The current cost of the replacement is $10.00 and is subject to change at anytime, without notice.
