A re you a member? If not, why not consider joining today. They have
lots of benefits for members and you can get a great rate with our
helpl. As a member, you can receive some of the following benefits that you would not be able to get otherwise. This is a lot of benefit to being a member. If you decide to join, we can assist you in completing the application and getting it sent in.First, you will receive a reduced price for a new or renewed membership. Generally, a membership with the ARRL runs $39 per year (*$36 if over 65). If you signup as a new member, or one that has not been a member for at least 2 years (new member status), we are able to drop $15 off of the membership fee, making it just $24 (*$21). A renewal membeship usually runs $39 (*$36), but if you use the application on our site and allow us to handle your renewal, the fee is $37 (*$34). That may not seem like much, but its a great price for great benefits. You may choose to benefit Kaufman County ARES, Inc. by passing the $15 or $2 back to us for use within the organization. This is how the ARRL orginially intended it to be handled as a commission to us, but we are allow you to keep it if you wish or you can have it applied towards your shirt and ID badge. Being a member of the ARRL opens a whole new world of items for you. You are able to purchase books, cds, stickers and other items, sometimes at a reduced price compared to non-members. You are able to take online classes for a reduced price, sometime in excess of $30 less. You help support an organization that has been helping amateur radio operators since 1914. As a member of the ARRL you also have the option to obtain insurance for your amateur radio equipment and related items, that may not be covered by your home or auto insurance. This benefit in itself makes your membership well worth it. They are now offer other types of insurance through MetLife and so much more. Benefits include, but not limited to:
